Description:
This course complies with training requirements of the following:
EPA 24 CFR Part 35
EPA 40 CFR Part 745
HUD 24 CFR Part 35, 36, and 37
Part 603Consumer and Industry Services
Part 680 Consumer and Industry Services
Any Local, State or Federal regulations that may apply
This program is accredited through the State of Michigan Lead Hazard Remediation Program.
This course covers all training requirements, except safety training specific to the nature of the employees' job and pertinent to the actual equipment and machinery with which the employee will be working while in the Contractors' employment.
Course Objectives:
Know and Understand:
* Hazards associated with Lead and Lead work
* Local, State, and Federal Regulations for Lead work activities
* Specific procedures for controlling Lead hazards
* Medical monitoring and surveillance
* General site safety
* Recommended practices for preparing the work area, setting-up decontamination units
* Lead abatement techniques
* Air monitoring and sampling requirements
* Supervisor responsibilities
Course Requirements:
Persons attending course MUST:
• Have a government issued photo ID
• Have a copy of initial training certificate
(if not originally trained by MLTAI)
• Have last training card/State Card with them
• Be in attendance the entire class time
• Pass the required test
• Complete third party State test to be eligible for work
