This course will prepare trainees for taking the State of Michigan CDL test. Trainees will use the State of Michigan Commercial Drivers’ License manual in class, review videos pertaining to specific areas of testing, and practice driving with MLTAI truck and trailer. Persons attending will have an opportunity to schedule a driving test through MLTAI.

CONSTRUCTION MATH

This course is designed to refresh basic math principles. The course will take you through basic addition, subtraction, multiplication principles and how they relate to formulas commonly used on the job. This class is not like the high school class in that we will put our math to use during hands-on activities, so you will see how to relate it to practical use.

FORM SETTING & GRADE CHECKING

This course is designed to apply basic form setting and grade checking strategies. Trainees will learn how to interpret grade stake information, perform basic layout principles, set forms for concrete pads, sidewalks, curb and gutter as well as basic wall form layout.
